With 1240 acres of skiable terrain, Sugarloaf is the largest ski area east of the Rockies and Maine's second highest peak at 4,237 ft. Nestled in Maine’s Western Mountains, the resort is located in the heart of Carrabassett Valley, which was carved out by the Carrabassett River. Sugarloaf is home to the only above tree-line skiing in the East, and an unparalleled side country skiing experience thanks to a 650-plus acre terrain expansion that encompasses Brackett Basin and Burnt Mountain.

The resort features 14 lifts and 163 trails and glades spanning 57 miles. With an average annual snowfall of 200 inches, the resort is open from mid-November to early May. During the winter season, the mountain is open daily from 8:30am-3:50pm.

Maine's largest cities, Portland and Bangor, offer major airport service to Sugarloaf, and Boston and Montreal are only four hours away.
